Mar 2, 2018  BREAKING NEWS  Police confirm suspected gunman's parents are 2 victims of shooting at Central Michigan University; father was Bellwood cop, mother was a cancer survivor Friday, March 2, 2018, 5:44 PM CT James Eric Davis, 19, a college student from southwest suburban Chicago fatally shot his parents on the campus of Central Michigan University on Friday and remains at large and is considered dangerous, police said. The victims were identified as Davis' parents, James Eric Davis Sr. and Diva Jeneen Davis. The elder Davis was part-time police officer in west suburban Bellwood and an Illinois National Guard veteran. Diva Davis was a cancer survivor, according to friends and neighbors.
