Friday, Feb 23 Last call for gold medals! 10 remain up for grabs before Sunday's closing ceremony, where gold medalist Jessie Diggins will carry the U.S. flag. This is the Olympic circle of life for most: Re-learn the sports and become attached to the athletes. But when the flame is extinguished, we forget it all. It's just that, as Lindsey Vonn said, "4 years is a long time." Last night/this morning: The Russians dominated in women's figure skating, while the U.S. faltered big time; Shani Davis skated around the oval for perhaps the last time; and Canada's men's hockey team lost to … checks the story again … Germany. D'oh, Canada. See you again in 2022, Winter Games. |
| The Sox played a spring training game today! Yay. The Sox also delivered some not great injury news today! Boo. No Cactus League action in 2018 for Carlos Rodon. And no game action for Micker Adolfo for at least 6 weeks. |
