Chicago police disciplinary officials have ruled an officer was unjustified in the 2015 shooting and killing of a 19-year-old carrying a baseball bat and an innocent bystander standing nearby.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability has ruled that Officer Robert Rialmo unjustifiably shot Quintonio LeGrier and 55-year-old Bettie Jones while responding to a domestic disturbance on the West Side on the day after Christmas two years ago, according to records obtained by the Tribune through an open records request.
