102 events. Roughly 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries. A 15-hour time difference. $1 billion in broadcast rights. The 2018 Winter Olympics from Pyeongchang — they are upon us. Well technically, super early tomorrow morning with mixed doubles curling at 1 a.m. (oh yes we are sooooo in). Figure skater Bradie Tennell from Carpentersville is a gold medal contender. And don't let her "Cinderella" song selection fool you — "She is a machine," said 1998 Olympic gold medalist and NBC analyst Tara Lipinski. "I have so much trust in her leading into these Olympic Games as a rookie." On the flip side: Our Teddy Greenstein, who put his best foot forward and tried speedskating. It … wasn't great (he was taunted by an 11-year-old). Maybe he'll be ready for the 2022 Beijing Olympics ...

C'mon Sajak!

A tradition unlike any other: Snubbing the White Sox. After the latest shade from "Wheel of Fortune," Paul Sullivan says it's time to turn these snubs into promotions. As for the great free-agent freeze-out, it's getting pretty heated.

On the mend

Kris Dunn has to wear braces now. But, those braces are on his real teeth (and zomg it could have been so much worse after that scary fall). When he returns to the court, it'll boost the Bulls' winning chances — and value.

Too soon?

The Hawks lost their 3rd straight game and 5th at home. Steve Rosenbloom isn't asking but he is asking — does Corey Crawford have to come back to save Coach Q's job? Or can a deadline trade save the day? Help wanted.

Wanted: Bubble wrap

Breaking: The Bears' offensive line in 2017. They really should work on that in 2018 (and protect Mitch Trubisky too). Elsewhere: Josh McDaniels changed his mind and maybe the Eagles will as well, re: Nick Foles.

How did you celebrate National Signing Day? We hugged our fax machine. Illinois inked two much-needed quarterbacks. Notre Dame landed a trio of four-star recruits. And Northwestern added a big and little.
