Thursday, Jan 25 Brad Biggs opened up his Bears mailbag and out fell roughly 4,204,987 questions about what the team should do with the No. 8 pick (and one question about Mike Glennon's future, but we can't be certain it wasn't from the starter-turned-backup QB). As previously reported by everyone, the Bears are in the market for a wide receiver. Unfortunately, college spread offenses aren't producing NFL-ready guys. "It's a huge adjustment," said Jaleel Scott, who tallied 76 catches for 1,079 yards at New Mexico State. The Bears aren't in the market for a QB — but they are still doing their homework (Virginia McCaskey will be so proud!). In other news: Kyle Long wants navy and orange confetti to fall from the rafters, Kevin White's brother thinks Kevin White is due and season-ticket prices, like the Bears in 2017, stay flat. |
Jim Thome: First-ballot Hall of Famer. He joins Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero and Trevor Hoffman in the Class of 2018. Thome wasn't with the White Sox for long, but oh, the memories (hello, 2008 Blackout Game).

Will SoxFest be featured on Bravo's "Don't be Tardy"? Did any of you understand that sentence? Top prospect Michael Kopech and his reality TV girlfriend will at this weekend's fan fest. But first: A "heartwarming" visit.

The Bulls' losing effort last night was pretty meh. Zach LaVine agrees: "We didn't have that type of juice." In better news: Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn are Rising Stars, per the NBA. Duh, per us.

The Blackhawks concluded this homestand with a 1-4-1 record — not the result a last-place team is looking for: "Guys are mad." Tonight begins a 3-game road trip, wrapped around the All-Star break (6:30 p.m., NBCSN).
