Cubs launching pay-TV sports network in 2020

The Cubs and Sinclair Broadcast Group are starting the Marquee Sports Network, a regional cable channel devoted exclusively to the baseball team, in February 2020. Marquee will air the full regular season schedule as well as classic broadcasts from the archives and other programming. The new channel spells the end of more than 70 years of over-the-air broadcasts for the Cubs, which established a national fan base with help from WGN-TV.
