Amazon drops New York City as one of its new headquarters sites, says it won't reopen search

Amazon said it has decided not to establish offices in the Long Island City neighborhood of New York City after opposition from some state and local politicians. The online retailer said Thursday it does not plan to look for another location and will continue to build out offices in Arlington, Va., and Nashville, Tenn.
