In what may have been a case of mistaken identity, a 15-year-old who was helping his step-dad deliver the Chicago Tribune and other newspapers was shot and killed Sunday morning on the city's Southwest Side, police said.
The shooter, driving a white vehicle, first rear-ended the car with the teenager and the stepfather, pulled alongside the pair then opened fire, police said. The 15-year-old, who has not yet been identified, was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
