New Pritzker-Blagojevich audio from FBI wiretaps sheds light on race issue in governor contest

Newly released recordings from FBI wiretaps show J.B. Pritzker and then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich in 2008 discussing their views about African-American leaders, including Jesse White and former Obama pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Pritzker and his Democratic rivals for governor in the March primary are using different approaches to try to win over African-American voters, who comprise as much as a third of the vote in Illinois.

The actor John Mahoney, a longtime Steppenwolf Theatre ensemble member and a performer known to millions for his work on the NBC sitcom "Frasier," died Sunday at the age of 77.
