Weight watching

When Pablo Sandoval, the Kung Fu Panda, pitched in relief recently it recalled an era when quality portly pitchers such as Rick Reuschel, Mickey Lolich, David Wells and others were not a baseball oddity.

 

'Best medicine'

Blackhawks and NBC Sports analyst Eddie Olczyk, post-treatment for colon cancer, calls the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby he'll be working "the best medicine." He also offers some betting advice for Saturday's race.

U.S. upsets Canada

Cam Atkinson scored the winner for the United States to prevail over Canada 5-4 after a penalty shootout in their opening game at the world ice hockey championship on Friday. "We can play better than that," Patrick Kane said.
