Suspect charged in shooting of ATF agent in the Back of the Yards

Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 9:58 AM CT

Charges have been filed against one person in the shooting of a federal agent last Friday in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The agent from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was shot in the face early Friday while he and other law enforcement were acting on information that a street gang may have been supplied with a cache of guns, authorities have said.
