The cold continued to mess with Chicago commuters Thursday, with South Shore and Metra Electric trains still out of service and many delays reported on other Metra lines.
Both the South Shore Line between downtown and northwest Indiana and the Metra Electric District line from the South Side and south suburbs shut down on Wednesday because of cold-related problems with overhead power lines. The lines are expected to reopen on Friday.
