Jan 29, 2019  BREAKING NEWS  Chicago Public Schools closed Wednesday and Thursday, Amtrak cancels service as cold slams area Tuesday, January 29, 2019, 9:56 PM CT Chicago Public Schools announced that schools will close on Thursday in addition to the previously announced Wednesday closure. Additionally, Amtrak canceled all trains to and from Chicago for Wednesday and most on Thursday due to the cold weather, according to a news release.
