Jan 30, 2019  BREAKING NEWS  South Shore suspends service, Amtrak cancels trains to and from Chicago due to extreme cold weather Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 5:10 AM CT The South Shore Line suspended service Wednesday, saying in a news release that an early morning test train encountered significant problems. Late Tuesday, Amtrak canceled all trains to and from Chicago for Wednesday and most trains on Thursday due to the cold weather, according to a news release.
