Monday, Jan 28 Sure, the "hot stove" has been ho-hum for the White Sox and Cubs this winter in terms of player acquisitions. The same cannot be said, however, for the trash talk. First, Kris Bryant called St. Louis "boring" during the Cubs Convention, drawing the ire of Cardinals fans. Then this past weekend, White Sox outfielder Nicky Delmonico called Cubs fans the most annoying in baseball. Call it a veteran move by a young player, Paul Sullivan writes. Of course, there was plenty of talk about who wasn't there (yet?): free-agent target Manny Machado. Yoan Moncada, a prized addition from a few years ago, is working on getting his hitting up to par.
